Agent Spotlight: Steve Cobb

Meet Steve Cobb

From Visual Merchandising to Real Estate

Discover the story behind Steve's impressive career.

For as long as Steve can remember, he’s had a passion for “making a house a home.” As a child, he spent hours drawing house plans and dreaming of becoming an architect. His career started in visual merchandising for a national retailer, where he made 23 beds every morning, taking pride in how they looked. Later, Steve became a merchandising trainer for another major retailer, overseeing Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

After a couple of years of contemplating a career change, Steve decided to take the leap into real estate—and he’s never looked back. His move was motivated by a desire to help people through a process that can often be stressful, all while seeing the potential in homes that others might overlook.

Why Real Estate?

For Steve, real estate is more than just a job—it’s a way to help others navigate the complex world of buying and selling homes. His passion for serving others and helping them envision the possibilities in a new space is what drives him. He loves the opportunity to work with friends, family, and new clients, offering a personal touch and guidance every step of the way.

The Real Estate Focus

Though Steve primarily focuses on residential properties, he also helps with commercial real estate transactions. Whether his clients are first-time homebuyers or selling an estate, he’s dedicated to offering full-service support. Each transaction is met with the same level of care, no matter how big or small.

Family and Community

Steve and his wife, Sandi, have been married for over 33 years and raised seven children. They’re now enjoying life as grandparents and are eagerly awaiting more little ones in the family. Their home is also shared with Susie, an energetic rescue dog, two cats, and eight chickens that provide both fresh eggs and entertainment.

A longtime resident of Sherman and Denison, Steve loves the community’s growth and small-town charm. He stays involved by volunteering with local organizations, including The House of Eli, which helps young men from disadvantaged backgrounds build better futures.

Why Paragon Realtors?

For Steve, Paragon Realtors is the perfect place to practice real estate. The supportive environment, camaraderie among agents, and the expertise of the team make it an ideal fit for him. At Paragon, collaboration is key, and everyone works together to help each other succeed.

Words of Wisdom for Agents, Buyers, and Sellers

For new agents, Steve advises, “You’ll only fail if you quit. Be prepared for the long haul and make sure you have a financial cushion before diving in full-time.” To buyers, he recommends taking time to truly understand the investment they’re making. For sellers, he suggests focusing on the small details that could make a big difference in how a home is perceived by buyers.

Why Grayson County?

Sherman, Denison, and the surrounding areas continue to grow, offering a great place to live and work. Steve loves being part of the community and is proud to help his clients find homes in this vibrant, tight-knit area.

Whether buying, selling, or just curious about the market, Steve is always happy to help. His goal is to provide trustworthy advice and guidance to ensure a smooth, successful real estate experience.
